Not Kirsten!!!!!!
Josefina's Weaving Outfit is not going to be retired anytime soon because Josefina has so little outfits.
When my mom asked about a Kristen Nightgown they said they didn't have any I think Kristen is going to be retired.
They said that ALL of the American Girl Doll beds were sold out until March. So it is best to get any Christmas orders in early because according to the AG person they will be EXTREMLY busy this holiday season.
Just thought I would share some of the info I learned
Not Kirsten!!!!!!
All the beds are sold out till March?!!! I was going to order Kit's bed in probably about a week or two! I hope I can order it sooner than that! That really stinks! Thanks for the info.
I'm sorry, did you mean they were sold out this past March because of how busy it was last Christmas? Just curious, I wanted to verify this.

The website does not currently show the beds as being sold out.
I do not understand why they retire a collection. The rerelease frenzy has probably boosted sales, but is it such a boost that it was worth not selling any of the product for 3 or 4 years?
Sometimes I wonder if they say these things just to create demand.
I can't believe that they won't have beds--something sounds wrong to me.
Looks like Kirstens going to be Ags new felicity-if you know what i mean-seems like for them to function they have to have one doll on the "lets retire her list"
ITs a nasty marketing trick... if they retire a doll for an x amount of time when the rerelease her they make a killing
I will be *very* surprised if they get rid of Kirsten's nightgown. I can't see them getting rid of anything of hers, maybe taking her out of the catalogue (which I can't see, either), but I doubt they'll retire something like that. Even when Felicity had *so little* she ALWAYS had her nightgown. Maybe Kirsten's Work Dress or something, but I doubt it on the nightgown.
I think she meant last March, and they're just saying "get them now, because we expect them to be in very low stock in a month for the Christmas rush."
I also don't think Josefina's Weaving Outfit will be leaving until she gets at least one new outfit. Molly's was fine to get rid of as it had been around just as long, and Molly has about twice as many outfits as Josefina.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I wonder this, too. A few people have said they thought they did this on purpose with Felicity. And while it makes sense they got rid of her to bring her back at a later time, I really don't think they had any intention 5 years ago, of bringing her back with a bang. Samantha's movie did SO well, that they decided on a two for one deal with Felicity. Surely they'll make more money off of her this year than they have in probably the last 5 years combined, but I really can't fathom that she sold so poorly that it made more sense to get rid of her all together for 5 whole years.I do not understand why they retire a collection. The rerelease frenzy has probably boosted sales, but is it such a boost that it was worth not selling any of the product for 3 or 4 years?
Although, I can see this working for a year, maybe. Get rid of Kirsten for a year, and then bring her back with the New Felicity bang, they'd make a killing.
And it does make sense that it would be Kirsten, she's a pretty low seller, isn't she? Samantha and Kit are still the top ones? I'd imagine Molly, Josefina, and Addy are next. And then Kirsten, Kaya, and Felicity. Just a guess on most of those, though....
Woah, people. It's not confirmed that anything of Kirsten's is retiring. TitanicLover16 is just guessing. I don't understand the Kirsten Nightgown not being available or the beds all backorder. It doesn't say either online, from what I can tell. Did your mom call the catalog or AGP?
Where did you here Samantha and Kit are their top sellers?
I have always heard Samantha is, but I have also always read that their original 3 all sell well. I can't imagine Kirsten as one of the low sellers. (Of course, I would have never thought Felicity was one either...) Do they post any sort of sales figures? They are a publicly traded company, but I don't think they have to seperate this out.
